Pornhub and BBC News were found to be 1 of the most searched & most popular websites.

According to a digital marketing organization, the 2 websites that consumers searched for the most were BBC News and Pornhub.

According to research done by a digital marketing agency, the top two phrases that people will look for online in 2022 will differ greatly from the other forty-nine. Adult content websites, news outlets, marketplaces, and online services were the most popular, according to Embryo.

Pornhub trailed closely behind BBC News in the rankings

According to the firm, Pornhub trailed closely behind BBC News in the rankings. According to what these businesses are doing to encourage – or discourage – users from interacting with their websites, it claimed to have observed some notable shifts in user behavior for popular websites including BBC, Pornhub, Netflix, and Rightmove.

This year, BBC News was the most popular platform among all internet users. Over 61 million people visited the website on a monthly average (61,201,613), a 23% increase from this time last year when there were fewer than 50 million monthly searches (49,628,099).

Charlie Meyler, an Embryo content and marketing executive, stated: “More internet users than ever before are interested in keeping up with current events.” The Sun, Daily Mail, and Sky News were among the other news websites that ranked in the top 50 for keyword searches; but, because of the variety of online services that the broadcaster offers, BBC was the most visited website by new visitors.

“BBC weather, BBC sports, and the term ‘BBC’ were among the most searched keywords this year, suggesting that the BBC is a reputable and well-liked source for news services.”

With 55 million searches monthly, Pornhub

was a close second. According to Embryo, this search volume has climbed by 50% in only the last ten months. The website that hosts six million movies annually experienced a spike in traffic during the global shutdown when it offered some of its premium content for free to all users in an attempt to persuade them to stay at home.

This year, Netflix was excluded due to a 33% decline in search volumes since 2021.

From six million monthly searches in 2021 to four million in 2022, search numbers have decreased. Earlier this year, Netflix increased the cost of a monthly subscription to £10.99 for a normal membership and £15.99 for a premium subscription.

In addition, several users can access Netflix accounts through the streaming service, which discourages individuals from creating accounts on the internet by offering simultaneous streaming. Following the notable decline in the number of registered users, share prices have dropped dramatically from £567 to £137.

One of the most widely used internet real estate portals is still Rightmove. The property website’s search traffic has grown to 13.5 million monthly visits in 2022, according to Embryo.

Also highly listed were marketplaces, which include popular websites like

Amazon, eBay, Argos, and Just Eat.

According to Embryo, buyers are increasingly likely to begin their user journey on marketplaces, and as these platforms offer more goods and services, this trend will only grow. People frequent food marketplaces like Just Eat and websites like Amazon because of their competitive pricing and variety of options, which makes the user experience easy to navigate.

According to Embryo, its research also showed that customers searching for entertainment outlets frequently searched for consumer entertainment websites like Wordle, which has become very popular among internet users this year, and bet365. Among the top 50 terms were several online and email services, such as Google Maps, Google Translate, Yahoo, and Outlook, all of which scored highly.

A content and marketing executive at Embryo named Charlie Meyler said, “More internet users than ever before are interested in keeping up with current events.” The Sun, Daily Mail, and Sky News were some of the other news websites that placed in the top 50 for keyword searches; nevertheless, due to the broadcaster’s array of online services, the BBC was the website that received the most visits from new users.
